Welcome to the Weston Choral Society
The Weston-super-Mare Choral Society is a mixed voice community choir dedicated to furthering the study and performance of the choral music tradition within and around Weston-super-Mare, Somerset. We are a registered charity number 1115538.
We are a four-part (SATB) choir open to all ages from 16 years upwards. Currently we are around 50 voices. Membership is open to all abilities. There is no audition, no test of musical ability, only enthusiasm is required! If you think you might enjoy singing, come along and try us out.
The society rehearses during term time, from September to May, every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm in the Milton Methodist Church Hall, Milton, which is located at the top of Baytree Road and across the road at the bottom of Milton Hill, Worle, near Weston-super-Mare in Somerset. We hold concerts close to Christmas and again in late Spring. Plus one or two other events when the need arises.
We usually perform in local churches where the acoustics suit our type of singing. If you enjoy the sound of choral music why not consider coming to make music with us by joining the society? Why not come and see for yourself without commitment? If you enjoy the evening you will be most welcome to stay on and join us.
If you would like to speak to someone about joining the Society, please feel free to telephone our Secretary Gill Williams on 01934 813255. Gill will be pleased to discuss the Society and how you can join.
